I love denim cut offs, and I don’t think I am alone in that one. I recently shared a Amazon denim short try on to my Instagram stories. I wanted to share those options here, along with a couple other non-Amazon options that I love.
High End. Let’s start at the top and work our way down! My go to, hands down favorite denim cut offs are the Agolde Parker Vintage shorts. I purchased these last summer, and wore them non-stop. They retail for $128. Based on the number of wears…I say I have definitely gotten my moneys worth. I love them so much , that I purchased a black pair this year. Quick tip…these run big. I purchased one size down, and they are still loose and comfy. If you prefer your cut offs not too loose, try going down 2 sizes.
Ok, so I lied…I am not going to work my way down. I’m doing to jump straight to the Target cut off options. I tried 2 styles at Target, and really like both. I ended up keeping the Wild Fable version in the dark rinse….and eventually went back and purchased them in white as well.
The Wild Fable option run true to size and retail for $15. These are cut in a way that even though they are short, they have good booty coverage in the back. I believe these run true to size, and stretch with wear. I have heard some ladies say they prefer to size up in these. These were low in stock last I checked, so fingers crossed they get more in…because there are really good. They comes in 3 colors.
The Universal Thread option also runs true to size for $18. I really love this option too. They have stretch, where the Wild Fable option does not. At the time, I felt like I didn’t need 100 pairs of cut offs, so returned these (but fast forward a couple months and my collections has more than doubled in size).
Next…the options from my Amazon try on.
Amazon Brand Daily Ritual cut offs. These cut offs are a “nicer” version to the typical cut off styles we are seeing a lot of right now. They do not have distressing, and the cut off is subtle. These are like the business casual of cut off shorts… These come in 5 rinses. I snagged them on sale so watch the listing, and you may also find yourself a good deal. They run true to size, are a little lower rise, and have stretch. I do prefer higher rise shorts, but for cheap I decided to keep these so I would have a darker pair.
From Amazon, I also purchased 2 pairs of the Levi’s 501 High Rise Short. I purchased the wide stripe and the camo. I love these. They have a high waist, have stretch and are a good length (no booty hanging out). For these I recommend sizing up 1 size. I sized up 2 sizes based off of a review, and though the fit is good and fitted, they stretch out once they’ve been worn for a couple hours. Since I had already taken the tags off, I just threw them in the washer and dryer to shrink them up some. So if your next size up is out of stock, try 2 sizes up. I originally bought true to size and I gave up on trying to get them buttoned. The wide stripe pair is my new fave.
The last pair, also from Amazon, is a brand called Modarani. I own these in white and star print (perfect for the July 4th holiday). These run true to size, have stretch, have a small side slit, and are a shorter style. These come in 31 options (yes, 31). I do like these shorts also, but I do have to be careful not show any booty when wearing these, so keep that in mind.
OK, I think that is enough denim talk for now!
